In 1975 the celebrated photographer, Vanley Burke, took a photograph of Stuart Hall in his office in Muirhead Tower at the University of Birmingham, when Hall was Director of the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies.

In 2023, the University of Birmingham acquired the photograph and will place it on permanent display near the Stuart Hall Room at The Exchange.

A formal unveiling and short programme of presentations will be made to celebrate Vanley’s work, and to launch the Stuart Hall Archive Project.
