‘Finding your Feet’ is the product of collaboration between the Dialogues strand of the Stuart Hall Archive Project and Tina Hofman (NotNow Collective).
Focusing on the notion of “settling in”, the event combines an experience of the performance-audio piece ‘BOSA’ by Notnow Collective (booking essential) with a facilitated discussion and reflection session.
The BOSA experience is 45 minutes long and bookable at 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. The discussion-reflection is a flexible event – feel free to come early and stay as long as you like.
Audiences will have an opportunity to hear first-hand about the most recent creative and research developments from the Stuart Hall Archives at the University of Birmingham, as well as retrace Hall’s steps during his time in Birmingham and the resonance of his teachings today. The event will include material from an app currently in development, ‘Walking With Hall‘, which uses new research from the Stuart Hall Archive to explore how we use and experience space.
This event is part of the University of Birmingham’s 2024 Being Human Festival Hub programme.
