Conjunctures invites you to participate in this public event in which the filmmaker, Esther Figueroa will discuss the themes of her awarding winning feature documentary, ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ (2019), a film concerned with the environmental devastation caused by global bauxite extraction, particularly in Jamaica.

This event is being held a day before a free screening of ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ (2019) at The Midland Arts Centre, Birmingham on Friday, 1st December 2023 at 19.45. Check for remaining tickets here: https://conjunctures.eventcube.io/events/53533/fly-me-to-the-moon-film-screening-qa/.

As this is a public conversation, we ask attendees to think about their relationship to the environment and how it has impacted the lives of their community; locally and/or globally as Esther Figueroa has done in her filmmaking practice.
