Walking with Hall – New Chapter

The latest installation of ‘Walking with Hall’ is now live!

This term, we teamed up with a group of undergraduate students at the University of Birmingham to develop the second chapter of this locative literature project. We delved into Stuart Hall’s archive together to explore his connection to Birmingham, and they have been hard at work sifting through files, identifying locations across the city, and narrating their significance.

From Handsworth to Moseley, this chapter shows how Hall’s varied interests – from soap operas to social justice – took shape across the city.

The result of this work – Chapter 2 of ‘Walking with Hall’ – can be found here.
