On June 17, 2024 we will be hosting Hugh Mackay, one of the authors, with Stuart Hall, of Doing Cultural Studies: the Story of the Sony Walkman (1997, 2013). We will be discussing that project and also thinking about how we might apply those same methods to the study of generative Artificial Intelligence today.
Come join us to think about how the work of Hall and his colleagues might be used to think about today’s significant technologies. The event is co-hosted by the Centre for Digital Cultures in English, Drama and Creative Studies.
